About a year ago, my parents decided to leave everything behind and travel the world. Following their departure, this project was born, delving into the complexity of a long-distance relationship and doing so through the use of a quilt as a primary medium, inspired by a patchwork blanket. The quilt, composed of patches, graphics, and shapes, reflects various feelings and emotions as each patch represents a day. The work attempts to capture the enduring nature of absence and convey the remaining closeness, despite the physical distance.
